Description
Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a SHEQ Officer to join their team in Port Elizabeth.
Purpose of Position:
- To support our SHEQ processes, thus ensuring GQ complies with the applicable laws, regulations, international standards and customer expectations.
- To provide the relevant statistics and reports weekly, monthly and for formal reviews at Management Review Meetings held every 6 months, in order for senior management to see how we are tracking against our targets and objectives, and to make informed decisions on continuous improvement and preventative action initiatives required for GQ.
HEALTH & SAFETY:
- Ensuring that company complies with legislations/OSH ACT
- Managing of HIRA and internal audits
- Managing of IOD and COID processes
- PPE and uniforms
- All legislative training and licensing
- Monthly H&S meetings and ensuring training of H&S reps per department
QUALITY:
- FSSC and all other quality and SHE systems
- Managing of online Production quality process and QC team
- DRM, ISIR’s, SHEQ sys and other quality interventions
- All reporting, auditing and managing of Management review process
- Managing all customer complaints and returns with Sales team
- Managing internal quality audits and coordinating external quality and food safety audits
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric Certificate / Grade 12 with a post matric quality or related qualification
- 2 years+ experience in the packaging industry preferably plastics or manufacturing background
- 2 years+ in a SHEQ role
- Quality and/or Health & Safety Experience essential
- Computer Literacy – Excel essential
