Key Duties and Responsibilities:Always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety proceduresComply with Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and internal HR standardsParticipate in ongoing training and development initiativesDiagnose and repair electrical faults across various vehicle and equipment typesInstall and maintain wiring systems, lighting, alternators, starters, and control panelsTroubleshoot, test, and calibrate electronic systems including ECUs, sensors, and CAN bus networksConduct scheduled preventative maintenance and inspectionsInterpret and work from electrical schematics and OEM technical manualsRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform field repairs as neededConduct vehicle testing to verify proper repair and functionalityCollaborate with the Vehicle Maintenance team and communicate repair work clearlyAccurately complete service records, job cards, and maintenance logsEnsure all work complies with OHSA and site-specific safety regulationsEstimate repair costs and project completion timeframesAssist mechanical teams during overhauls and major rebuilds as necessaryMinimum Requirements:Qualified Red Seal Auto Mechanic35 years of experience in a similar auto electrical roleSolid understanding of diesel engine systems and their electrical componentsAbility to work efficiently under pressure and manage competing prioritiesMust be available for shift work, standby duties, and overtime when requiredPreference will be given to candidates with experience on earth-moving or heavy-duty equipment
