Senior Finance Data Analyst - IT - Centurion

Our insurance client is looking for a *Senior Finance Data Analyst* to join their team in Centurion.   Looking for a financial data analyst to be part of a dynamic and developing data team in charge of the full data scope of the finance department. The vision for this role is to bridge the gap between traditional accounting profession and technical data aspect of the environment.   The role will require obtaining an understanding of department policies and procedures, recommendation and development of systems, and reporting that will enhance the function of the department, in line with the current technological environment. Further the successful candidate should have a strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team, as the role will require cross-departmental collaboration.   *Key Responsibilities:* * Data support of all financial functions, with a drive to automate and optimise processes * Development of systems, processes and workflows * Creation and deployment of reporting to allow for the monitoring and maintenance of functions * Development of data models * Liaison with stakeholders within the finance team and broader business stakeholders * Leadership and mentoring of a team   *Requirements*: * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, information systems , Actuarial, Finances. * Experience in developing and maintain data models * Exposure to finance environment (advantageous) * Experience in ETL processes (advantageous) * 2-3 years’ experience in working with data tools * Advanced MS Excel * Microsoft SQL Server * SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) * Power BI modelling and reporting * MS office (excluding excel) (advantageous) * Experience with Azure and Synapse analytics (advantageous)   *Salary*: Market Related   Please take note: if you have not been contacted within 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful.
