Colliery Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and all applicable legislation
• Manage and coordinate all engineering maintenance and capital projects on site
• Ensure availability, reliability, and optimal performance of all equipment and infrastructure
• Oversee engineering budgets, cost control, and resource planning
• Lead and manage engineering teams and contractors to achieve operational targets
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
• Implement and maintain effective risk management and safety standards
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support operational objectives
• Establish and maintain electrical and water reticulation systems on site
