Salary: R25 000 R35 000 CTC (negotiable)

Description:

An industrial automation and robotics company in Pretoria is seeking an Automation Technician to join their team. The company specializes in custom automation, robotics, and system integration solutions for the automotive, mining, and engineering industries.

The role involves installing, programming, testing, and maintaining computer-controlled automated systems and machinery in manufacturing environments. Key responsibilities include configuring software, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing routine maintenance to ensure smooth, efficient, and reliable operations.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in PLC programming and robot programming, preferably within the automotive sector. Experience with Kuka Robots, Beckhoff PLCs, and Siemens PLCs is highly advantageous.

Qualifications Required:

• Degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field.
• or an applicable trade certificate (Electrical, Millwright, or Mechatronic).

Requirements:

• Proven experience in PLC programming and robot programming, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Experience with the following is highly advantageous:
• Kuka Robots
• Beckhoff and Siemens PLCs
• Experience with AutoCAD is advantageous.
• Own vehicle and a valid driver's license.

• Proficiency in various programming languages.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical installation processes.
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings
