A leading provider in the technical and industrial sector is seeking a Sales Manager to establish and lead its sales and marketing function. This senior role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a proven track record in driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and lead the sales and marketing department.

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with business objectives.

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of six sales professionals.

• Drive new business development and expand market share across South Africa and Africa.

• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.

• Report directly to senior leadership and represent the company at industry events.

• Occasional travel across Africa (3–4 times per year).

Candidate Profile:

• Proven track record in sales management, preferably within technical or industrial sectors.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• Solid understanding of technical products (lifting equipment, cranes, or related advantageous).

• Skilled in planning, executing, and monitoring sales strategies.

• Resilient personality with the ability to drive results in a competitive environment.

• Diploma/Degree in Sales or Marketing advantageous, but extensive experience prioritized.

• Immediate availability preferred.
