Description
Key Responsibilities

Sales, Business Development & Key Account Management
  • Drive sales of marine lubricants, fuel performance products and new-generation lubrication technologies.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned to the companys marine industry growth plan.
  • Manage and expand relationships with shipping lines, ship agents, bunker suppliers, port operators, and related stakeholders.
Technical Expertise & Application Support
  • Provide technical product support to customerstroubleshooting, product selection, application advice and optimisation.
  • Analyse operational conditions and recommend lubrication and fuel-conditioning solutions to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce energy footprint.
  • Stay up to date with global developments in lubrication chemistry and marine fuel treatment.
Portside & Logistics Coordination
  • Liaise with Transnet Port Terminals (Portnet), harbour service providers, and logistics teams to ensure smooth, rapid supply to vessels.
  • Coordinate inventory availability, urgent callouts, and short-notice marine deliveries.
  • Understand bunkering procedures, vessel arrival schedules, and port regulations affecting supply.
Market & Customer Insights
  • Conduct regular market mapping and competitor tracking.
  • Advise the Board and senior leadership on market conditions, emerging marine technologies, sustainability trends, and regulatory shifts.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and contribute to budgeting.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports, pipeline updates, and client performance summaries.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field (advantageous).
  • Minimum 58 years technical sales experience in the marine, lubrication, fuels, petrochemical or related industrial sector
  • Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to all SA ports.
