Setter Operator

Job Responsibilities:

Produce units at the defined output rate, accurately record all data on the data capture sheet in a timely manner, load and unload components and materials, inspect and operate the machine to the required standard, and use gauges to set the machine correctly.

Continuous Improvement:

• Raise problems & concerns to the Shift Leader upon identification.

5S and Safety, Health & Environmental:

• Practice and improve 5S in your work area in line with the 5S check sheet.
• Ensure PPE is worn according to work standards.
• Ensure all incidents are reported within the same shift. All safety checks are performed according to the safety standard.
• Follow the SHEMS procedure.

Quality:

• Ensure parts produced meet quality specifications and follow up on non-conforming product procedures.
• Work cycle must be completed before leaving work.

Delivery:

• Pack parts as per the packing instruction and perform work according to the set standards.
• Raise problems and concerns to the Shift Leader timeously.

Job Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (advantageous)
• 2 years experience in a similar field/industry
• Must have an understanding of production processes
