Key ResponsibilitiesDispatch OperationsOversee end-to-end long-haul dispatch process from planning to executionEnsure accurate picking, checking, and loading of all consignmentsMaintain alignment between physical stock, documentation, and SysproTransport Planning & CoordinationCoordinate with transporters and 3PL providersEnsure optimal vehicle utilisation and legal load complianceAdjust dispatch plans based on operational requirementsMaintain communication with drivers in transitSyspro & Stock ControlCreate, manage, and validate SCT (Supply Chain Transfer) transactionsReconcile system vs physical stock before dispatch releaseInvestigate and resolve discrepancies and duplicate transfersCompliance & Safety (TREM Cards)Ensure all hazardous loads are dispatched with valid TREM cardsVerify UN numbers, SDS alignment, and emergency detailsMaintain TREM register and compliance documentationEnsure adherence to SANS and company safety standardsTeam LeadershipSupervise dispatch staff (storemen, checkers, packers)Allocate daily tasks and monitor productivityTrain, mentor, and develop team membersEnforce discipline, safety, and operational standardsReporting & PerformanceMonitor OTIF/DIFOT, dispatch accuracy, and productivity KPIsAnalyse dispatch reports and identify improvement areasSupport warehouse management with operational insightsMinimum RequirementsMatric / Grade 12 (essential)Minimum 35 years warehouse/logistics experience23 years supervisory experienceSyspro (or similar ERP system) experience essentialForklift licence (required)Code 08 drivers licence (required)Experience in hazardous goods handling advantageousStrong understanding of transport operationsKey CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to perform under pressureStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilityExcellent communication and coordination skillsSafety and compliance focused
