Senior Fire Engineer

Our client is a respected consulting engineering firm specialising in building services solutions across commercial, healthcare, and industrial sectors. Known for innovative fire protection designs and compliance expertise, they deliver technically sound, regulation-compliant, and cost-effective engineering outcomes.

As Senior Fire Engineer, youll take ownership of designing and reviewing fire protection systems, including hydraulic calculations for sprinkler layouts, ensuring compliance with SANS and international fire codes, and mentoring Junior Engineers. Youll collaborate closely with Architects, project teams, and clients to ensure safety and performance on every project.

Requirements:

• BSc / BEng Mechanical Engineering (essential)
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA (essential)
• Minimum 8 years experience in fire engineering and building services
• Expertise in sprinkler system design and hydraulic calculations
• Deep knowledge of SANS, NFPA, ASIB standards
