Drawing Office Leader â?? HVAC

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the drawing office.
• Ensure all drawings are delivered on time and meet project specifications.
• Keep all project drawings and records accurate and up to date.
• Develop and produce HVAC design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, including ducting, piping, and electrical layouts.
• Create accurate manufacturing and installation drawings.
• Handle complete HVAC design processes, including:
  
  • Air distribution calculations
  • Duct and pipe sizing/layouts
  • Diffuser and grille sizing
  • Equipment selection
  • Heat load calculations
• Compile comprehensive HVAC design documentation for on-site use and monitoring.
• Conduct site surveys and measurements for design input and as-built records.
• Develop standard drawing notes and legends to ensure consistency across projects.
• Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives within the drawing office.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience using AutoCAD and Revit
• Matric / Grade 12 or technical equivalent
• Experience in building services
• Knowledge of building structures and site measuring (advantageous)
• HVAC industry experience (advantageous)
• Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering (advantageous)
• Valid Code 08 drivers licence
• Clear criminal and medical record, with ongoing compliance
