Head of Data Science & AI

In this role, you will spearhead the shift from traditional reporting to a modern, AI-enabled insights ecosystem. You will lead the design of predictive models, shape high-performing, future-ready teams, and embed data-driven products that deliver measurable impact across sectors including telco, retail, finance, and social research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the organisations AI and machine learning transformation, implementing predictive analytics, automated workflows, and ethical data science practices.
• Build and structure agile teams of Data Scientists, Engineers, Statisticians, and Insights Specialists transitioning into next-generation roles.
• Drive innovation by embedding advanced analytics into scalable dashboards and client-facing solutions.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to define long-term data strategy, develop 120-day execution plans, and monitor strategic KPIs.
• Mentor and guide multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality analytics, operational excellence, and forward-looking capability

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field - Masters or PhD advantageous
• Experience:
  • 10+ years in data science, analytics, or advanced statistical environments.
  • Minimum 5 years in market research, CX insights, analytics consulting, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in AI/ML transformation, scaling teams, and building high-performance capabilities in growth-oriented organisations.
  • Hands-on experience developing predictive models, cloud-based data pipelines (AWS/GCP/Azure), and real-time analytics solutions.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and modern machine learning frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of ethical AI, data governance, and research standards aligned with global best practice.
  • Ability to translate complex analytics into actionable, client-focused insights and products.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams.
