Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Management:
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and build collaborative relationships.
  • Provide professional actuarial support and advice to the business.
  • Analyze and interpret pricing monitoring results, sharing insights with product and underwriting teams.
  • Participate in portfolio management and assess performance against KPIs.
Team Management:
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage your teams work within SLA and capacity.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of new and existing data sources.
  • Create and manage price monitoring reports.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, managing performance and providing leadership.
Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and VBA automation).
  • Expertise in SAS, SQL, and QlikView (experience reconciling administration and claims data to financials is a plus).
  • Experience with pricing modelling software (e.g., WTW, Earnix, Quantee) and optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of GI actuarial pricing concepts such as Large Account Pricing, GLM modelling, Segmentation, and Premium/Loss Ratio Walks.
Modeling & Data Management:
  • Maintain modeling minimum standards and promote best practices within your team.
  • Manage pricing basis review projects, ensuring milestones are met.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3-year Actuarial Science degree.
  • Significant progress with actuarial exams.
  • Minimum of 4 years of general insurance (GI) pricing experience.
  • Proven experience providing actuarial advice to senior management.
  • Skilled in prioritizing, resourcing, and planning.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence beyond your team.
