You will play a key role in managing rental payments, utilities accounts, and lease processes, while providing valuable insights and recommendations to support business decisions.If you have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to integrity and teamwork, this could be the perfect opportunity to grow your career in property and leasing accounting.Purpose of the Role:To provide general rental administrative support to the Property and Leasing Department for a national retailer, ensuring accurate accounting, efficient processes, and compliance with relevant standards.Key Responsibilities:Process rent payments and ensure accurate accounting and reconciliationReview monthly utilities accounts to identify issues or discrepanciesAttend to account queries internally and with landlords promptlyConduct account reconciliations as requiredProvide insights and recommendations on rental income and utilities expenses to managementManage rent escalations, renewals, and terminationsEnsure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policiesIssue monthly turnover figures to landlords in a timely mannerQualifications and Experience:Grade 12 Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting and lease administration, preferably in retail.Experience with MRI software Good verbal and written communication skills High level of attention to detail Proficient in MS Excel Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) Preferred Skills / Attributes:Strong attention to detail and accuracyAccountability and integrityTeamwork and collaborationAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasksReliability and consistencyAdaptability
