Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Full financial accounting & monthly reporting

• Managing and guiding direct reports

• Oversight of GL, reconciliations & financial controls

• Preparation of management accounts

• Assist with budgets, forecasts & variance analysis

• Statutory compliance, VAT & tax submissions

• Working closely with operations (engineering/mining exposure beneficial)

• Year-end processes & audit assistance

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Strong financial reporting capability

Education

• BCom degree + SAIPA preferred

Experience

• 3 years post-articles experience

• Experience managing staff

Skills / Technical Competencies

• Strong financial accounting & monthly reporting

• GL management, reconciliations, VAT, tax & compliance

• Budgets, forecasts & variance analysis

• Fixed assets & year-end/audit support

• Advanced Excel + solid ERP experience

• Leadership ability with experience managing direct reports

• Detail-driven, organised, analytical & deadline-focused

• Confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills

• Engineering/mining exposure beneficial
