Senior Accountant

Company and Job Description:
A well-established organisation based in Centurion is seeking a driven, detail-oriented and solutions-focused Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of core financial processes, contribute to strategic decision-making, and step into a leadership position within a results-driven environment.

Job Description:

• Manage and oversee debtor and creditor accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing
• Prepare and analyse financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
• Supervise monthly reconciliations and reporting
• Lead annual audit preparations and liaise with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with VAT and tax regulations
• Provide strategic financial insights to guide management decisions
• Support implementation and improvement of financial systems and internal controls
• Mentor junior team members and support their development
• Maintain financial data integrity and accuracy
• Assist with special financial projects as required

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• BCom in Accounting or related field
• SAIPA qualification preferred but not essential
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
• Engineering and Mining industry experience is highly beneficial
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
