Operational Accountant

The ideal candidate will hold a BCom Degree, with completed articles preferred, and bring 35 years of post-articles experience. This opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in hardcore operational industries and is eager to contribute to both finance and on-the-ground business processes. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full financial function, including GL, reconciliations, TB, and reporting.
• Provide operational support and partner with production, engineering, or plant teams.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls and compliance requirements.
• Analyse financial and operational performance and provide actionable insights.
• Support month-end and year-end processes and assist with audits.
• Drive continuous improvements within finance and operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BCom Accounting (articles preferred).
• 35 years post-articles experience.
• Exposure to mining, engineering, or manufacturing industries advantageous.
• Strong understanding of the full financial function.
• Operational exposure essential.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
