Industry Development Manager

Experience / Qualifications / Requirements

• Relevant tooling industry qualification or equivalent practical experience
• Business Management, Marketing, or Sales qualification at NQF Level 6 or higher
• Minimum 5+ years managerial or supervisory experience in a relevant industry
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver results at a regional level

Key Competencies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong industry knowledge, particularly in tooling, die, and mould or manufacturing sectors
Technical ability to understand industry operations and challenges

Core Activities

• Establish and maintain contact with the TDM sector at executive and operational levels
• Provide support and advisory services to TDM industry participants
• Market and promote client effectively across the region
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with industry partners
• Facilitate industry benchmarking and performance improvement initiatives
• Source companies for student placement programs
• Drive enterprise and business development initiatives
• Report on industry status, challenges, and opportunities
• Represent client at industry events, networking sessions, and public engagements
• Develop membership and maintain ongoing relationships with industry participants
