Financial Accountant

Our client is looking for an Accountant who can comfortably own the finance function end-to-end and be commercially aware enough to understand the bigger picture behind them.

Whether youve recently completed articles and want your first strong commercial move, or youve built experience directly in industry, this role offers the chance to step into a business where finance is closely tied to investment performance and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full finance function up to management accounts
• Prepare journals, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews
• Process month-end and assist with financial reporting
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, and cashbook functions
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support audit preparation and statutory compliance
• Maintain accurate financial records and strengthen controls
• Assist management with financial insights and operational support

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Completed articles with 2 years post-articles experience, OR 3 to 5 years' commercial accounting experience
• Strong understanding of the full accounting function
• Good analytical ability and attention to detail
• Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
