Financial Accountant

A leading force in the Construction industry is searching for a hands-on, detail-obsessed Accountant who knows how to keep the financial foundation as strong as the structures that the business builds.

Based in Centurion, this role is perfect for someone with a BCom and 35 years of solid accounting experience, who is confident across the full financial function from GL to reconciliations, trial balance, and all the way up to preparing financial statements.

ð??? Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full financial function: GL, recons, TB, journals & more
• Prepare accurate monthly financials up to FS
• Maintain project cost allocations & support operational teams
• Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance
• Support budgeting & forecasting processes
• Work closely with site teams, project managers, and senior finance
• Maintain BuildSmart data accuracy

ð??? Job Experience & Skills Required:

• BCom Degree essential
• 35 years accounting experience
• BuildSmart experience non-negotiable
• Exposure to the full financial function (GL, TB, recons, and FS prep)
• Experience in Construction highly beneficial
• Strong Excel & ERP ability
• Detail-driven, accurate, and structured
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
