Financial Accountant

A leading construction company is seeking a hands-on Accountant with strong technical skills across the full financial function. This role requires a completed BCom and strong command of BuildSmart. Youll manage everything from the GL to trial balance and support the preparation of financial statements.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being deeply involved in the numbers, driving clean reconciliations, and ensuring accurate reporting in a growing and dynamic business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full Financial Function Exposure: GL, reconciliations, and trial balance, up to financial statements
• Systems: Daily use and management of BuildSmart
• Reporting: Assist with monthly reporting packs and financial reviews
• Compliance: Ensure accurate and timeous processing
• Operational Support: Work closely with project teams and site operations
• Contribution: Support the continuous improvement of financial processes

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Qualification: Completed BCom
• Experience: 35 years in a full accounting function
• Industry: Construction essential
• Systems: BuildSmart is a must
• Technical: Strong recon skills, GL management, and preparation up to FS
• Profile: Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and confident in a busy environment
