Job DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Curtain Maker / Seamstress to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate must be skilled in measuring, cutting, and sewing curtains and soft furnishings to a high professional standard.Key Responsibilities
Measure windows and spaces accurately on-site (if required)
Calculate fabric requirements
Cut fabric according to measurements and specifications
Sew curtains, sheers, linings, pelmets, and other soft furnishings
Operate industrial sewing machines including:
Blind stitch machine
Overlocker
Bartacker
Straight stitch machine
Ensure high-quality finishing and attention to detail
Work efficiently to meet deadlines
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience as a curtain maker / seamstress
Experience working with industrial sewing machines
Ability to read and interpret measurements and specifications
Strong attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Good communication skills
Advantageous
Experience with blinds and other window treatments
Knowledge of different curtain headings and styles
RemunerationSalary will be market-related and based on experience.
