The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing trailer bodies, assisting in preventative maintenance of a fleet of 150 plus trailers, and supporting other areas of the workshop as needed. Your Areas of ResponsibilityRegularly inspect trailer bodies, systems and components in order to identify errors, problems or defects.Conduct routine preventative maintenance, including scheduled servicing and cleaning of parts to prevent future issues.Service, adjust, repair or replace components of air brake systemsTroubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including lights, wiring and other electrical components.Maintain and repair suspension components, axles, hubs and wheel assembliesWork with and repair hydraulic systems on specialised trailers, such as dump trailers or side tippers.Test all systems and equipment after repairs to ensure proper performance and compliance with industry and safety standards.Maintain accurate written or electronic records of all inspections, repairs and parts used.Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe and well-organised work environment. Key Requirements:2-4 Years experience in trailer repair and maintenanceWillingness to travel for breakdown assistanceCode 8 Drivers LicenseQualification in airbrakes, BPW axles and suspension advantageousExpertise in fibreglass body repairs advantageous If you are a reliable, skilled individual with a strong work ethic, we would love to hear from you!
