As a Senior Import Controller, you will be responsible for the following:Oversee and manage the entire import process from origin to final delivery, ensuring seamless cargo movement.Coordinate international freight in line with client import requirements and compliance standards.Apply a solid understanding of INCOTERMS, commercial documentation, and statutory body procedures.Manage seafreight shipment types and understand relevant insurance and claims processes.Interpret complex rate structures, national currencies, and international codes.Liaise with carriers, depots, customs, and other logistics partners effectively.Ensure full compliance with RCG (Reporting of Conveyances and Goods) and other regulatory requirements.What Do You Need?:57 years recent experience in import controlling within the clearing and forwarding sector.Strong knowledge of commercial, transport, and statutory documentation and procedures.Competent in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.Solid grasp of geographical locations related to international trade.Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.High level of accuracy, punctuality, and attention to detail.Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.Comfortable working in a pressurised environment while maintaining quality.Financial awareness and commitment to data integrity.Must be a team player with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
