HANDYMAN SKILLED/STEENBERG - ROLE PURPOSE - To carry out general maintenance work within the complex.
Our client is on the hunt for a skilled and reliable handyman to join our maintenance department. As
a handyman, you will be responsible for upkeep and repair duties including maintaining green
spaces, identifying the need for repairs, and servicing company equipment.
To be an effective handyman, you need to be skilled and hard-working, with outstanding
problem-solving abilities. Skilful hands, good physical stamina, and strong technical knowledge
are important parts of the successful candidates’ talents.
Responsibilities:
Perform basic tasks including carrying out maintenance repairs, such as:
Painting and filling minor cracks,
Basic carpentry work (repairs to doors and windows),
Basic plumbing, electrical and safety work,
Plastering and brick work (minor works)
Perform repairs on company machinery, equipment or appliances.
Perform garden services, maintain and improve green spaces.
Detect and report the need for minor to major maintenance repairs.
Regularly check communal spaces to identify issues with litter, maintenance or breakdowns.
Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks.
Oversee the refuse cages stay clean on the company premises.
Provide management with support and guidance on maintaining site operations.
