SUMMARYAssembly workers prepare
and position parts for assembly, ensure each component is fastened together
correctly, check connections and log any discrepancies. They read measurements,
verify specifications, measure completed components and assemble parts to
approved specifications
DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Positions or
aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
·
Uses hand tools or machines to assemble
parts.
·
Conducts quality control checks.
·
Cleans and maintains work area and
equipment, including tools.
·
Keeps equipment operational by completing
preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions,
troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
·
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by
complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
·
Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine
supply level
·
Assemble components according to the specified
sequence in the work instruction.
·
Use correct torque or fastening method as
specified.
·
Handle all parts carefully to prevent scratches or
damage.
·
Check that each component matches the Bill of
Materials (BOM).
·
Visually inspect parts for damage, defects, or
incorrect finishes.
·
Report any discrepancies to the Team Leader before
proceeding.
