Job Title: Pallet ControllerLocation: Bloemfontein Type: ContractorDuties and Responsibilities:Reconciliation backlogs increase , delaying month end closeFinancial exposure grows through unresolved balances, unprocessed transactions and rejected movementsImprove customer experience , financial control and operation complianceCustomer escalations rise due to delay query resolution and reporting Compliance and audit risks increase due to filing documentation and data intergrity gapsEnsure timely daily processing , weekly reporting and month reconciliation Reconciling pallet account and CHEP issues movement Captiring THANs and PCNs via my CHEP and issuaing transaction via SAPManaging suspended and rejected movement and initiating corrective actionLogging all activities direct with CHEPLogging escalations to the business where required General query resolution includingPallet Movement AuthorizationTransfer Hire AgreementsLoss investigationsLogging collection and return orders when required Monitoring EDI data intergrity (Where applicable)Supporting yard operationPallet quality inspectionsImmediate reporting of non-compliance or damages Mantaining accurate and compliance filing of all pallet documentation.Liaising with problem customers to recover outstanding balancesCommunicating extended holding periods or excessive volumes to relevant internal stakeholdersProviding electronic system supportMaintaining strong working relationship with customer stakeholders and operations teamsWorking closely with CHEP and logistics/operations teamsEnsure issues are capture accurately and timeouslyAlign on corrective actions and prioritiesEscalating ongoing or critical non-compliance matters to managementStock counts and reconciliation including offside locationReview and closure of outstanding queries and balance investigationsValidation of system data intergrity across SAP, myCHEP and EDI Identification of long outstanding balances and aged exceptions with recovery actions documentedReview of pallet holding pattern and volume variancesEnsuring all documentation is complete , filed and audit ready Supporting month end reporting and compliance requirements Improved financial control through timely reconciliation and reduced writes off Reduces operational risk caused by unprocessed and rejected or non-compliant movementsStronger compliance and audit readinessBetter report accuracy and visibility for management decision making Sustainable workload distribution , reducing dependency risk and burnoutQualifications and Skills:Grade 12Clean
