My client, a leading motor and controls manufacturer, is looking for a Proposals Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg.
The purpose of the role is to formulate quotations related to Non-Standard, special low and high voltage electric motors and accessories, and to provide technical assistance to internal and external customers. Furthermore, assigned requests for quotations should be executed accurately and timeously in line with departmental KPIs.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Quotations and orders:
* Take responsibility for tender documents and quotations within the proposals division.
* Compile quotations on required templates to suit company and customer requirements, focusing on contents and lay-out
* Log on to SAP to locate material codes and distinguish motors with Special or Optional features
* Compile accurate Cost calculations, Data sheets and drawings on internal software systems (FDC, Assom and SAP)
