Production Planner Midrand

*Reference: Pta002702-MM-1* Production Planner needed for Military company. Production Planner needed to create, modify, and manage production schedules. Monitoring of inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management and facilitating timely delivery of products to customers. Monitoring of the production process to ensure that production orders are completed on time and within budget. Managing of production deadlines, demonstrating excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills to ensure that production operations run smoothly. * * *Job Title*: Production Planner *Geographical area*: Midrand *The successful incumbent will be responsible for: * * Developing production plans and timelines * Determine production requirements based on plant capacity, product requirements and plans according to sales specifications and requirements * Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production * Identify, maintain and drive working Operational Risk/Event register * Reviewing inventory accuracy; reporting anomalies for correction authorization * Create and maintain critical lists on critical stock items * Liaising with Engineering/Procurement departments to ensure on time supply chain delivery * Monitor and report production progress in line with programme(s) requirements & schedules in a timely manner * Promptly communicate the relevant department of changes to current production schedules * Loading and ordering of ERP items * Establish and improving forecasting systems/models and continuous improvement * Creating job packs and ensuring quality of the information in the job packs are of high standard * Ensure proper maintenance of MBOM’s * Raise Non conformance *Minimum qualifications and experience: * * 5 – 10 years manufacturing experience in the defence / automotive industry * Industrial Engineering qualification * Proven experience working as a Production Planner * Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software *Please apply via our website: *(www.edrecruiters.co.za)(http://www.edrecruiters.co.za)* or alternatively submit your cv to (cv@edrecruiters.co.za)(mailto:cv@edrecruiters.co.za) - Reference 2702* Should we not contact you within 14 days, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
