Duties & ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain mission-system-related software, including payload control, payload emulators, relay applications, and mission logic.Manage and optimise Docker environments for mission system appliances.Maintain and enhance CI pipelines, integrated development platforms, and build systems to boost productivity.Develop and support general software productivity tools.Generate project outputs, including design, testing, documentation, production, and verification artefacts.Implement engineering processes, plans, and policies as required for specific projects.Provide minor technical support across the company when necessary.Desired Experience & QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelorâ??s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (BSc Eng. / BEng).Required Skills & Experience:Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.Recommended Skills & Experience:Experience with modern Python (3.10+), including packaging and deployment of reusable applications.Strong knowledge of the Python Standard Library and libraries such as lxml, numpy, argparse.Familiarity with markup languages and technologies (XML, XSLT, XML Schema, JSON, YAML).Proficiency with containerisation (Docker).Solid understanding of Linux systems (Debian/Ubuntu).Competence in scripting languages (Bash, Batch, PowerShell).Hands-on experience with version control (Git, Subversion, or Perforce).Experience working in Agile teams and with issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).2â??3 years of relevant industry or postgraduate experience advantageous.General Competencies:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work collaboratively on large projects and independently when required.Quick learner with the ability to absorb new information rapidly.High standard of written and verbal communication in English.
