WORDPRESS DEVELOPER – PLETTENBERG BAY

An established digital marketing agency serving corporate clients needs a skilled WordPress Developer who can take on website projects and assist with ongoing maintenance to ensure our clients' sites run smoothly. Preference will be given to candidates already living within the Plettenberg Bay/Knysna area.

Responsibilities:

• Building new websites and maintaining existing WordPress sites for their clients
• Installing and managing Google tracking tools like Google Analytics and Tag Manager
• Migrating websites between hosting providers with minimal downtime
• Troubleshooting and resolving website issues as they arise
• Collaborating with clients and the team to ensure project goals are met
• Managing updates and backups to ensure website security and stability
• Assisting with other web development tasks as needed to support the business maintenance to ensure their clients' sites run smoothly.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer
• Expertise in building and maintaining WordPress websites, themes, and plugins
• Experience with installing Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and other tracking tools
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript
• Proficient with hosting platforms, domain management, and migrating websites between hosts
• Familiarity with SEO best practices
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Must have a valid driver’s licence and their own car
• Must be able to work from the Whale Rock area from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and then remotely
• Knowledge of office management tools like Google Drive and Google Mail is a plus
• Preferred: Some experience in the marketing industry would be a plus.
