Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 610 years software development experience (minimum 3 years in a senior/lead role)
• Strong proficiency in modern languages: Python, R, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#
• Databases: SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Cloud experience: AWS / Azure / GCP
• Containerisation: Docker and Kubernetes
• Advantageous:
  
  • Experience in financial/investment systems
  • Data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, and Shiny)
  • API, microservices & systems integration background

Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

• Systems Design & Architecture:
  • Lead the design and development of core systems platforms
  • Architect scalable solutions for reporting, modelling, automation, and SaaS
  • Ensure seamless integration across internal tools and external data sources
• Development & Delivery:
  • Build and maintain applications, APIs, and internal platforms
  • Develop new SaaS products used by external institutional clients
  • Implement best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, documentation, and security
• Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Engage with consulting, actuarial, research, and operations teams
  • Translate requirements into technical delivery plans
  • Mentor Junior Developers and support a culture of innovation
