- Management: VMware vCenter, vSphere Client, SDDC Manager; Nutanix Prism Central
- Networking: Cisco Nexus or equivalent ToR switching; VLAN design, trunking, routing, jumbo frames
- Performance benchmarking: HCIBench, Iometer, FIO, or equivalent storage benchmarking tooling
- Documentation: HLD / LLD authoring or detailed review; configuration report validation
- Security: MFA implementation, RBAC, network segmentation, audit logging for hypervisor and management plane
- Automation: PowerCLI, Ansible, or equivalent for HCI day-2 operations (preferred)
Scope & Boundaries
- This role validates and accepts it does not build, operate, or manage commercial vendor relationships. The primary accountability is independent technical quality assurance on the client side: ensuring that what is delivered matches what was contracted, and that the client organisation is genuinely prepared to operate the platform independently after acceptance. Candidates whose primary experience is in vendor-side delivery, cloud application architecture, or managed services operations rather than infrastructure deployment and acceptance are not a fit for this profile.
Qualifications & Certifications
Required
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent technical discipline
- 12+ years of professional experience in technology infrastructure; 8+ years in HCI or private cloud deployment
Valued (not mandatory)
- VMware Certified Advanced Professional Data Center Virtualisation (VCAP-DCV) or VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or Nutanix Certified Master (NCM)
- Cisco CCNP Data Centre or equivalent networking certification
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or equivalent as a complement to the technical profile, not a substitute
