Location: Must be based in Gauteng

Salary: 6000US Dollars

Working Hours: On-call rotation every second week until 10:00 PM.

To optimize, automate, and maintain a scalable AWS cloud infrastructure for a US-based healthcare provider, supporting the delivery of services and protecting sensitive patient data.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years as a DevOps Engineer working with AWS.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be fluent in English with a neutral accent
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• IaC & Config Management: Experience with Terraform or Cloud Formation; familiarity with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• CI/CD & Containers: Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Scripting: Proficiency in at least one language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Monitoring: Familiarity with CloudWatch and the ELK stack.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Duties

• Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and maintain reliable AWS hosting for healthcare applications.
• Automation: Collaborate with software development teams to automate deployment and release processes using AWS tools and services.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security measures and best practices to ensure compliance and protect patient data.
• Performance: Monitor system health, optimize resources for maximum efficiency, and troubleshoot connectivity or application issues.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed records for infrastructure configuration, installation, and troubleshooting procedures.
