Automation Engineer

Our client is part of a larger group of companies and is seeking a DMA Automation Developer to design and implement cutting-edge automation and AI-driven solutions. Youll be working closely with business teams, IT, and stakeholders to build scalable, intelligent systems that align with the groups vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse processes across departments to identify automation opportunities.
• Design, develop, and implement automation using AI and modern development tools.
• Maintain and update automation scripts and ensure system reliability.
• Train, deploy, and monitor machine learning models to optimise business processes.
• Collaborate with business units and IT to integrate automated solutions seamlessly.
• Communicate automation strategies and results to stakeholders.
• Provide system support: Software updates, patching, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Continuously research, propose, and apply improvements to automation practices.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Qualification or professional background in Automation, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements in automation systems.
• Strong understanding of AI techniques and emerging automation technologies.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools, scripting, and system support.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple entities.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Johannesburg (non-negotiable).
