Advanced Level 2 Engineer (L3 Capability)

Key Technical Requirements:

• IT Infrastructure & Cloud:
  • Advanced experience designing and optimising hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, and VMware).
  • Strong networking knowledge, including SD-WAN and zero-trust architecture.
  • Virtualisation and containerisation (Kubernetes and Docker).
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation).
  • Experience building resilient, high-performance infrastructure environments.
• AI & Data Exposure (Advantageous):
  • Exposure to machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn).
  • Experience with data platforms, such as Spark, Databricks, or Snowflake.
  • Understanding of analytics pipelines and intelligent automation concepts.
• Cybersecurity:
  • Strong capabilities in incident response, threat hunting, and security operations.
  • Experience with next-generation SIEM tools (Splunk and Sentinel).
  • Exposure to EDR/XDR platforms and SOAR automation.
  • Understanding of proactive, intelligence-led security models.
• Compliance & Governance:
  • Working knowledge of GDPR, POPIA, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, NIST, and CIS Controls.
  • Experience supporting audits, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring.
• Project & Transition Leadership:
  • Experience participating in or leading infrastructure migrations and transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to Agile/DevOps methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and change management capability.
