SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Reason for Reporting
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets within the
Northern Cape and Free State regions.
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities.
- Grow market share by promoting the companys complete
product and service portfolio.
- Prepare and present professional sales proposals and quotations.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand their needs, operations, and challenges.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly and
professionally.
- Prioritise accounts based on potential, performance, and strategic
importance.
- Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, and call reports.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends in the region.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the companys products and their applications.
- Provide basic technical advice and liaise with technical teams as required.
- Submit accurate weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Maintain CRM data, pricing structures, and customer
agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and
credit procedures.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) essential
- Minimum 35 years sales experience, preferably in lubricants,
oils, industrial, mining, agricultural, or related sectors
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively
- Strong computer literacy (MS Office, CRM systems)
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Problem-solving and customer-focused mindset
- Comfortable working in challenging and remote environments
- Team player who represents the company brand with pride
