Char'd Grill and Wine bar is a high end steak house specializing in dry aging, with it's own on site butchery.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Kitchen Manager at Char'd Grill and Wine Bar located in Hermanus. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and staff management. They will ensure high-quality meals are delivered on time and according to customer specifications, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Ability to effectively manage a team and coordinate kitchen operations
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
• Butchery experience is a plus
• Familiar with Excel
• Must have minimum 3 years experience as head chef or kitchen manager.
