An Estimator

Company and Job Description:

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about construction and development? We are looking for an Estimator to join a dynamic team, helping shape the financial feasibility of exciting projects from the very start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed projects.
• Prepare high-level and detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, services, and overheads.
• Analyse BoQs, drawings, conceptual designs, site conditions, and technical reports.
• Identify cost risks, assumptions, allowances, and contingencies.
• Develop cash flow forecasts, funding requirements, and financial models.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to gather costing data.
• Evaluate alternative design options, construction methods, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Prepare and present feasibility reports, cost summaries, and recommendations.
• Maintain pricing databases, benchmarking data, and cost libraries.
• Ensure all estimations meet professional and industry standards.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 35 years experience in estimating or feasibility analysis (construction/development preferred).
• Strong understanding of construction processes, cost estimating principles, and project lifecycle.
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., BuildSmart, CCS Candy, WinQS) is advantageous.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple feasibility requests under tight deadlines.
