Assistant Maintenance Person

Assistant Maintenance Person position available at an apartment complex in Mitchells Plain

Job Duties:

- Maintain garden areas including cutting and watering of plants and grass.

- Clean windows of building, and clean gutters and downpipes.

- Ensure bin area is tidy, rubbish is stored appropriately and bins available for collection.

- Change locks on doors.

- Apply and repair paint.

- Replace broken floor and wall tiles.

- Fit, test, repair and replace fixtures and fittings, including lightbulbs.

- Operate hand and power tools as needed.

- Maintain appropriate safety measures when carrying out jobs.

- Report requirements for repairs to Management.

- Maintain tidiness during and after completing jobs and leave the work area free of debris.

- Monitor and maintain inventory on jobs. Report inventory of maintenance to Tenant Liaison Officer.

- Fill in job cards when performing tenant unit maintenance and ensure filled in job cards are given to Tenant Liaison Officer.

Work hours: Mon - Thu 8.30am - 5.00pm; Fri 8.30am - 4.30pm

Every second Saturday 8.30am - 3.00pm

Gross monthly salary: R5 750.00

The ideal candidate should:

- preferably live in the Mitchells Plain area

- Have experience in carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting
