We are seeking an experienced Hardware Technician with a strong background in electronics engineering to join our client’s Control Equipment division. This role is pivotal in bridging Production and Engineering, with responsibilities including industrialising test systems, managing the Repair Centre, and providing component?level troubleshooting support.We are looking for a hands?on, diagnosis?focused technician who is equally comfortable on the production floor and in the engineering lab. Proficiency in C and Altium is preferred, but the non?negotiables are: Component?level fault finding; Experience with test jigs and TPMQualifications and ExperienceBTech in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent)3–5 years’ experience in electronics technical support at PCB/component levelStrong knowledge of analogue and digital circuit designExperience in electronics assembly testing proceduresSoftware proficiency: C programming (for test platforms and data logging)Highly desirable: PCB design experience (Altium, PCAD)Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement technical testing systems to improve reliability and repeatabilityExecute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on all test equipmentManage the CE Repair Centre: oversee repairs, subcontractors, and quality improvementsTroubleshoot electronics to component level using schematics and lab equipmentMaintain fault databases and compile quality reports for managementCoach and mentor Repair Centre staffProvide on-site field support (local and international) when requiredInterface with Production, Engineering, and customers to resolve technical queries
