Contracts Manager - Fire Protection Industry Cape

Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Contracts Manager to oversee the successful execution of fire protection projects within the Cape Town area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing contracts, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensuring that all fire protection systems are installed and maintained in accordance with local and international standards. This role requires someone with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:

• • Review and manage all contracts for fire protection projects, ensuring they are in compliance with company policies, local regulations, and safety standards.
  • Negotiate terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Monitor the progress of contracts from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Project Coordination:

• • Supervise the execution of fire protection installations, maintenance, and repairs to ensure high standards of quality and safety.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth communication and timely completion.
  • Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring the scope of work is adhered to.

Risk Management & Compliance:

• • Identify potential risks related to project delivery and work proactively to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with all fire protection regulations and safety protocols.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire protection industry trends, standards, and regulations.

Budget & Cost Control:

• • Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and preventing overruns.
  • Prepare cost estimates, negotiate pricing, and manage invoicing and payments.

Client Liaison & Reporting:

• • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations are met and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients on fire protection systems and services.

Team Leadership & Development:

• • Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient project execution.
