Position Summary:



The Head of Marketing SSA is responsible for ensuring the correct country and marketing strategy is in place to achieve Revenue and EBITA goals. This role will work with Division's Commercial Leads and SDG Division's Global Marketing leads to develop & implement the appropriate country development and marketing plan in the region, ensuring alignment with each Division's Strategic Plan, the Global Marketing plans and the local market needs.



Additionally, they are accountable for the establishment and measurement of the key performance indicators of market performance. The Head of Marketing SSA will review trends in the region to ensure marketing activities are optimized & make recommendations for required changes. This role will be pivotal for assessing ROI on activities, gathering market insights, identifying opportunities for growth and keeping a focus on implementation in the region.

The SSA marketing lead will work collaboratively with colleagues in commercial and regulatory functions to drive NPI delivery and adoption in region



The Head of Marketing SSA will work with identified KOLs in the region to shape guidelines & strategies and ensure implementation occurs within region. This role will work across all SDG Divisions



Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Revenue and EBITA targets for region
Develop coordinated go-to-market, portfolio management approach and 1 - 5 year strategic marketing plans within region that deliver consistent growth.
Continually review Best Practice, identify strong performances in the region and make recommendations that will raise the impact of marketing activities within region, but paying particular attention to the major markets
Work with Division Commercial Leads and Marketing personnel to develop the marketing process and tactical plans through the AOP (Annual Operating Plan) process. Implement a common process across region which aims to target resources and activities at the highest growth opportunities
Work with Division's Global Marketing Leadership Team to ensure needs of SSA markets are met within the development of the Global Marketing plan
Ensure the implementation of the global marketing plan is in line with expectations including digital strategy, product launches and marketing campaigns, across the customer base
Drive digital expansion agenda within the key divisions

Coordinate region priorities into the Strategic Roadmap to accelerate profitable growth.
Develop robust region forecasts to inform portfolio development priorities & support Division's global portfolio leadership teams
Build and maintain regional key opinion leader relationships, together with the Region Scientific Advisors

Develop and monitor KPIs on tactical marketing investments, as well as share best practices across the region and with other regions
Develop organizational competencies in marketi
