Millwright – Atlantis, Western Cape

A well-established FMCG/manufacturing company based in Atlantis Industrial has an exciting opportunity available for a qualified Millwright to join their Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and will play a key role in ensuring optimal plant performance and production uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical faults to maximise plant uptime
• Replace defective machine components and adjust alignment of moving parts
• Perform machine repairs, lubrication, installation, and dismantling according to technical drawings
• Assist with supervision and coordination of maintenance activities
• Support the maintenance team with general tasks when required
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and plant procedures

Minimum Requirements

• Trade Test Certificate: Millwright (Red Seal)
• Minimum 2 years experience in an FMCG/manufacturing environment
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments
• Own reliable transport
• Excellent communication, planning, and multitasking ability
• A flexible and proactive get it done attitude

Advantageous Experience & Skills

• Wiremans License
• Ammonia handling training
• Exposure to food processing environments
• Experience with instrumentation, PLC (S5), AC/DC drives, and HMI systems
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and SOPs
• Computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)

Working Hours

Candidates must be flexible to work shifts, including:

• Day Shift: 08h00 17h30 or 06h00 15h30
• Night Shift: 17h30 03h00
• Standby, weekends, and public holidays may be required based on operational needs
