A Setter

We are looking for a skilled Setter to join our client’s dynamic production team. This role involves ensuring production equipment operates efficiently, maintenance is carried out on schedule, and quality standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify technical issues on production equipment (machines, moulds, etc.).
• Develop, set, and document machine settings for each production run.
• Conduct fault analysis and independently resolve issues related to product quality, processing, moulds, or equipment malfunction.
• Develop and follow maintenance plans; coordinate maintenance with internal teams and service suppliers.
• Identify spare parts requirements, maintain inventory awareness, and assist in sourcing decisions.
• Collaborate with Quality Control, Production, and Maintenance teams to maintain high production standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, GMP, and Food Safety standards.
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of jobs performed, defects, and maintenance activities.
• Continuously improve technical knowledge through self-development and engagement with suppliers and literature.

Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 (Secondary Education) minimum; Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, including injection blow/stretch blow moulding processes.
