Responsibilities:
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the road freight and logistics market
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow revenue and expand market presence in Johannesburg and surrounding regions
  • Conduct client needs analyses and propose tailored transport and logistics solutions that align with customer requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations, proposals, and quotations to prospective clients
  • Negotiate pricing, service level agreements, and contract terms in line with company standards and profitability targets
  • Collaborate closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and exceptional delivery performance
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, providing accurate reporting and sales forecasts to management
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-5 years experience in Road Freight
  • Proven B2B sales experience, preferably within the road freight, logistics, or transport sector
  • Strong understanding of South African road freight operations, routes, and market dynamics (advantageous)
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage decision-makers at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a consultative sales approach
  • Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel for client meetings
  • Highly self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional, confident, and customer-centric mindset, with strong relationship-building capabilities
  • Matric is essential
