Duties:
Assist the Reservations Manager with daily reservations duties.
Maximize sales by responding to guests / agents with accurate information in a professional and timeous manner.
Be able to process bookings from initial contact, follow up, obtaining of guest details and collection of monies due.
Book accommodation, transfers, flights etc. for guests across our portfolio of properties
Process bookings which have been received from Direct Guests, Trade and Online booking channels.
Liaise and communicate with internal stakeholders effectively.
Maintain office procedures to ensure that all information is easily retrievable by all staff
Requirements:
Grade 12
A formal hospitality qualification
At least 2-3 years experience in a Reservations or other related lodge position at a 4 or 5-star lodge
DMC experience will be an advantage
Able to work in a small team environment
Committed to service excellence
Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial
Able to work under pressure and can complete work quickly and accurately
Thorough and methodical
Friendly and outgoing
Brings energy, passion, and a willingness to learn and contribute to the team
Strong work ethic
Be able to absorb large amounts of information (properties are diverse)
Able to communicate to the Reservations Manager of any problems which you are experiencing or where you require assistance
Excellent command of English both written and verbal
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Be fully computer literate and tech savvy
Adhere to company procedures
Experience working on booking systems (PANStrat experience is a bonus)
