Description
Our private hospital in Port Elizabeth is looking for a Patient Services Manager that will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of patient services resources.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management and co-ordination of patient services resources
* Management of processes and operations to achieve the quality, growth and people objectives
* Ensure the optimization of the hospitals profitability
* Serve on the management team of the hospital
Applicants for this position must:
* Relevant clinical qualification - Nursing qualification - preferably Registered Nurse (Diploma or Degree) or Enrolled Nurse with proven Case Management and Coding Experience
* Minimum of five years relevant private healthcare industry and proven leadership, change and people management experience
* Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage including an understanding of relevant and current legislation as well as the knowledge or ability to learn medical terminology, CPT/ICD coding, technical and clinical concepts and patient services business processes
* Understanding of basic financial principles (i.e. budgets, credit management, planning)
* Computer proficiency is required (word, excel, outlook)
* Own transport is preferred

To provide financial accounting services to the finance department
Key Performance Areas:
Prepare daily cash flow updates and reconciliationsUpdate cashbook daily Prepare weekly bank reconciliationsLoad payments (including payroll) onto the electronic banking systemInitiate and prepare all documentation around foreign currency requirementsManage and arrange all foreign currency requirements for overseas travelPrepare all foreign payments and submit them to the bankManager all cellphone and telephone recoveriesManage the debtors module and all related transactionsComply with all accounting policies and proceduresResolve relevant accounting discrepancies within the finance department as well as other departmentsEnsure adherence to all other applicable financial legislations and regulations (i.e. PMFA, Treasury Regulations, GRAP)Liaise with SCM on all relevant finance related queriesProposes improvements to workflow, and the application of processes or standard operating procedures and systemsContinually endeavor to improve identified gaps within the area of workPerform Adhoc duties as and when needed
Education, Skills and Experience

Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the Companys Health and Safety policy.To ensure that the Company and its Contractors comply with the requirements of legislation by monitoring contractor compliance, attend and report at safety meetings and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.To ensure that all products meet the standards set by both the company and regulatory authorities. Analyse quality control reports from the receivers and feedback to growers.Maintenance of food safety accreditation: BRC and SizaRetention sample information is collected and analysedMaintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, and customers;Ensure that Quality Assurance procedures are strictly adhered to;Investigating and setting standards for quality and health and safety;Conduct Incoming shipment/delivery quality inspections on all produce linesPass on the information from the upper management to the employees and vice versa;Determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications.Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality.Complete paperwork efficiently; andAd hoc duties and responsibilities assigned by Senior Management.
