Our client in the Gaming Industry, based in Port Elizabeth, is currently looking to employ a Group Gaming Executive General Manager.

Requirements:

  • BCom Degree in Finance or Business Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8+ Years related experience gained in a GM/MD position (preferably within the Gaming Industry).
  • Highly adaptable leader with proven experience in leading people to execute the vision and strategy of the group by providing clear direction, motivating and empowering individuals.
  • Analytical thinker skilled in generating workable cross organisational solutions.
  • Project Management or Operation Management would be plus.
  • Results driven and focused individual.
  • People person who will develop a learning organization to develop employees through effective.
  • learning opportunities and mentoring.
  • Effective communicator and negotiator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Identify and place the necessary team and resources (structures) at each level of this Group to ensure the delivery of the necessary growth in the business.
  • Lead development and monitor implementation of the Group growth strategy.
  • Accountable for performance of the portfolio.
  • Critically evaluate, identify, and correct areas of weakness in businesses.
  • Oversight on implementation of operational policies and procedures.
  • Management of key staff reports, develop and implement necessary succession plans to ensure long term sustainability.

Revenue Enhancement:

  • Core understanding of key performance areas across Group and ability to implement and make changes necessary to enhance earning capabilities through:
  • Use of incentives.
  • Marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Attraction and retention of customers.
  • Productivity gains through equipment usage.
  • Entrepreneurial strategies to enhance revenue growth.

Compliance:

  • In depth understanding of Compliance requirements of the gaming industry.
  • Oversight to ensure compliance team focus is correct.
  • Established relationships with the regulators.

Cost and Risk Management Focus:

  • Ensure that budgets are prepared and approved in advance of each year and targets are achievable and realistic.
  • Optimise cashflow management in the Group through development and installation of cash management collections and policies.
  • Critical awareness of key operating measures to ensure efficient cost measurements and controls are in place.
