Sales Representative
Reason for Reporting
This role calls for an experienced and driven Sales Representative responsible for overseeing and growing sales within a designated region. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in FMCG sales, supported by a relevant tertiary qualification and a proven track record of achieving targets. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in basic computer applications and a professional, well-presented demeanor. A valid drivers licence is required, as the position involves regular travel between stores.
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- At least 5 years Solid Sales Experience
- FMCG
- Valid driver's licence
- Sales experience with a proven sales track record is an advantage
- Computer Skills in word and Excel
- Neat and presentable
- Well-spoken with negotiating skills
Applicants will be responsible for:
1. Assisting in the operation of allocated commercial stores
- Evaluate and promote better services to customers where required.
- Control and monitor store fixtures.
- Monitor stores monthly sales and growth in accordance with set targets.
- Implement strategic initiatives as required by the Line Manager.
- Ensure that all listed products are ordered and displayed in applicable stores.
- Manage ordering and follow-up of all seasonal and everyday stock.
- Evaluate and analyse allocated stores monthly sales and growth against targets.
- Implement store disciplines as per company guidelines.
- Adhere to and implement all operational procedures and manuals.
2. Liaising with internal and external customers
- Ensure that general correspondence is adhered to as outlined by the Line Manager.
- Assist in annual stock takes in stores when required.
- Address complaints and resolve problems within stores as required.
- Advise the Line Manager of any concerns relating to operational issues and correspondence.
3. Managing merchandisers
- Coach merchandisers, plan and assign duties, and direct workflow in conjunction with the Line Manager.
- Address complaints and resolve problems within the team.
- Ensure staff adhere to all procedures and operational requirements as specified in internal guidelines.
The incumbent may also be required to perform additional duties from time to time.
