Engineer, Blackheath (Cpt)

Our manufacturing client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Engineer with 5+ years’ experience to join their team in Blackheath, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be an SA citizen with a Millwright / Mechatronics Engineering qualification able to work MS Office to produce reports, provide support as well as test, write and validate technical information. You must also have a valid passport for international travels.

Non-negotiable Requirements:

• Millwright or Mechatronics Engineering qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Technical / Manufacturing environment
• Strong hands-on ability with a passion for producing detailed written reports
• Excellent planning, organisational and client interaction skills
• Business English proficiency (written and verbal)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Solid attendance record with sound references
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong adherence to quality, health and safety standards
• Valid driver's license and passport
• Live in Western Cape

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and after-sales support
• Write and validate technical documentation
• Develop and maintain a database of technical specifications
• Supply technical information to marketing, sales, spares, and customers
• Participate in projects and research initiatives
• Conduct testing and validations
• Deliver training sessions
• Travel nationally and internationally for training, projects, commissioning and fault finding
